Jason Atherton started out working alongside great chefs including Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White, Nico Ladenis and Ferran Adria at el Bulli, before joining the Gordon Ramsay Holdings in 2001 and launching ‘Maze’, first in London and then another five globally.

Jason left Gordon Ramsay Holdings in 2010 to launch his own restaurant company, Jason Atherton Ltd. His flagship restaurant ‘Pollen Street Social’ opened in April 2011 in Mayfair and was awarded a Michelin star within just six months of opening, alongside 5 AA Rosettes and no.3 in The Good Food Guide’s best UK restaurants.

Since then, Jason’s ‘The Social Company’ has grown into a globally renowned restaurant group, with a portfolio of restaurants which include the Michelin-starred Social Eating House and City Social, as well as 5 Social, The Betterment and Berners Tavern – named ‘the defining restaurant of the decade’,

Alongside his London restaurants, Jason has also opened critically-acclaimed restaurants in Shanghai, Dubai, St Moritz and his Michelin-starred restaurant, The Clocktower, in New York.

Jason has written four cookbooks, appeared on several TV programmes, and is a brand ambassador for a number of brands including BMW, Moët & Chandon and Audemars Piguet Savoir Faire.

Jason and his wife Irha support numerous charities, including Hospitality Action, JDRF, the MSY Charitable Foundation and the David Nichols Spinal Injury Foundation.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Pastry Chef de Partie and Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our team. You will have real drive and a passion for exceptional food. As part of the pastry team, your duties would include assisting the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation and service of food, at all times ensuring that the highest standards are maintained and that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.

We are looking for a Finance Controller to join our Finance team. This will be cover for 12 month Maternity Cover.

Reporting to the Finance Director, your duties will include, but not limited to;

- Posting and reconciling revenues and Bank reconciliations
- Recharges invoices
- Credit card reconciliations
- Overview accounts payable
- Posting accruals and prepayments
- Preparing monthly P & Ls
- Prepare and manage cashflow
- Dealing with HMRC regarding tax payments
- Submitting vat returns
- Dealing and assisting with external accounting firm re annual accounts
- Checking and authorisation of monthly payment runs
- Any Adhoc tasks given by Finance Director

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role ideally within the Hospitality sector
- Knowledge and experience Fourth Hospitality People System
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and work well in a buys team
- Previous experience using Sage 50 is essential
- Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Excel
- Great time management skills and the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Waiter to join one of The Social Company's restaurant teams. You will have excellent product knowledge and deliver exceptional guest service at all times. You will be responsible for your own section and overseeing junior members of the front of house team. Commercial Opportunities

The Social Company provides consultancy services to businesses within the hospitality sector, as well as providing services to upmarket contract caterers and private dining and corporate hospitality events. We also project manage and run new restaurants in association with hoteliers and entrepreneurs.

Social Company restaurants and bars are not clones of one another. Each one has its own identity and characteristics. There’s no set template. We work with interior designers and architects restaurant by restaurant, bar by bar. There’s no single ownership structure. Sometimes, we set up in partnership with hoteliers and other businesses, sometimes on our own.

COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS
The model is a joint-venture project; there’s a synergy between us and our partners and a shared commitment to creating something great – with its own unique identity, recognisable by its values rather than its corporate brand. When we help a hotelier or other business open a venue we ‘second’ a team of key personnel to the project.  Importantly, Jason takes a direct role in quality control – we’re in the project for the long haul.
